Duck for Cover it's Thursday

The culinary bunny will be off to Indonesia to see babalisme and just hang with this crazy cat for a while. This week I have a flying duck that wants you, if you'll only leave a comment.

My Grandfather used to have a set of the full kitsch ceramic flying ducks hanging in his dining room.  When my father recently went down to clean the house out he told me he threw so much crap out (he's a hoarder). I had a chill with the thought of those ducks in the Otto. Thank god they were not relegated to the trash after I said 'I want them'. They are hanging in his new home in a aged care facility, constantly suspended in mid flight, going nowhere.

More quack crack and some duck insights to get you down ...

pretty birds with ducklings on some string from here

a coin purse to keep all my ducks in by alfalfa

Duck and cover your passport with tinymeat

this is not a duck ... dedicated to the diving horses of Atlantic City. Poor horses, bet they'd rather be kitsch flying ducks.

ceramic flying ducks! My family home always had them in the kitchen until fairly recently where one fell down and broke :-( My mum is always on the look out for a new set but she can never find the perfect kind.

I would love some also... one day :-)

I'd love to be in the running to win this cool duck! Count me in please! I have a set of those flying wall ducks on my wall. My home is filled with tacky kitsch stuff that people have thrown away. Just wish I had a bigger house for my ever growing collection of trash...

Oh that flying horse is full on!!!! I can't bring myself to click on the link though - I fear learning any more about diving horses will just disturb me. Some people are completely quackers!

I love the duck. it reminds of the Fawlty Towers episode - the Gourmet Night "What if you don't like duck, then I guess your stuck. well I love duck". So serve it up I say.

I would love this duck. When I was growing up my parents wouldn't let me have a dog but brought me a duck instead. He was very cool and would even ride on my roller skates - too true.
