Sandy Saturday and the Soup of the Day is Tomato

Miss Sybil had a beach day today.  I would love to get so excited about something that I felt the need to run a figure of eight really fast.  Also waves are a problem and something to be attacked, chased and mauled .  So about 4-5 litres of saltwater was consumed.  Then promptly thrown back up next to my beach towel.  We also dug a hole, body slammed a puppy and took a nice big aqua turd on the sand dune.

The twinkle in her eye could possibly be a seagull ...

Dog ownership, it's a wonderful rewarding experience that requires a plastic bag.

Except if you're Linda, I doubt she's eve had to pick up a steaming morning turd

Much love got my bunny and it looks darn fantastic on her uber cool orange dress.  If you want one too just comment here.  Also for more free cool stuff see Kitty Boo Boo's blog for a vintage kids pattern that needs a new home.

Typeface and words and old books and fabric and ponies all float my boat.  So I am quite happy that the craft think tank down at Sophie Isobel Design is custom making me a 'I heart Ponies' fabric brooch ... they are cheap, gorgeous and original and most importantly handmade and very clever little pieces of unique art.

A very cool brooch from Sophie Isobel Design

I need tea, I was going to go thrifting but this heat is better for lazing about at home missing my weekend tea drinking boy and drinking tea with the dog.

New brooches I have up on Etsy

want .. but trying to stick to 2 Etsy purchases a month, good thing tomorrow is March

Last day of summer ...

Miss Sybil looks in a daze after her glorious day. Ah, how I miss those turd pick-ups. Our late Miss Holly was perhaps the only golden retriever in the world who was TERRIFIED of water, so she would not have been a good companion for Surfie Miss Sybil.

Love your new brooches.

Your new brooches are awesome! My dog loves the beach also and it's always amusing to watch her having fun at the seaside. My Sophie says hi to your Sybil! She's asking me to say hi only because she is unable to sniff Sybil's arse through the computer screen ;)

Thanks heaps for including my seagull pick in your cool beach post xo

Very cool stuff here. After I saw deerhunter, I needed my brain to really mellow out. Christopher Walken was so handsome in that movie.
Your dog is so cute.

thank you for visiting! you have a very funny blog here, i giggled reading this post - my dog had a similar treat yesterday when i brought her to a pot luck lunch, but she wasn't as grateful. when she got tired of harrassing the other guests she got bored and sat by the front door.

This was such a fun read. Miss Sybil reminds me of the dog my family had when I was younger. I can't wait to have my own puppy. :)

Now Sybil is a rather stellar name.

I am getting rather nostalgic for some Fawlty Towers about now.

And I hearts your brooches xoxo
