Thursday, Castaway the Week it's Almost Friday

The bird has flown, so I will flip the bird to Little Chrissy and hope she doesn't mind.  This Thursday there is a Castaway to giveaway.  A little Castaway bunny made from recycled children's books.

Leave a comment and this castaway can visit your deserted island

My little brother's favorite book when he was (even littler) was Scuppers the Sailor Dog.  He was a bit of a castaway.  His favorite line was 'a place for everything and everything in it's place' as the old Sailor Dog really had his shit together and liked organisation and order.  Goes to show that reading to children at a young age does ABSOLUTELY nothing to influence their behaviour in later life. He's a lovely boy, yet order, neatness and the ability to wash clothes/dishes are not a highly developed skill set he acquired.

So cast your mind back to the week that was, and look forward to Saturday morning, toast and tea on the veranda with the dog, wearing your jim jams till 11am and a general lot of faffing about.

Our horses in the Forrest of 1,000 trees in Mongolia.
I felt like a true castaway out there.

I love being castaway too... all I have to do is shut my eyes and dream. Or, when I'm covering some dreadful lecture, I can let my mind drift a little and think of other places...

I love that rabbit. So adorable. The photo of the horses with the tree...is so my speed. I was reading this article in the papers and they showed this photo of a koala with his hands wrapped up because they were burnt in the fire in Australia. It was so sad. I know that story is random but I thought of all of you down there:( Poor koala.
