Let me In on Your Love Roll ...

Here are some photos from operation love roll on Friday afternoon, courtesy of my on-site picture taker the very svelte Ms Keski-Vähälä.

Lessons I learnt from this little marketing exercise;

1. People are far more likely to take a free mystery packet off a girl than a young guy wearing aviator sunnies.
2. Once one person in a line says no all the others follow suit, get wary and also say no
3. Most people are pretty cool (except for the stuck-up crab apple in the grey suit!)
4. 35 of my little hearts are now somewhere in Brisbane and hopefully those wearing them will come along to the Finders Keepers on October 31 and November 1 ...

... also read the post below and retweet or comment to win a heart brooch.

the bag of hearty goodness ... 35 little heart brooches and market flyers all beautifully packeted up using old maps from work and words from Pocahontas to make them cute ...

skinny handout guy ... we share some genes

dropping his load ... with happy free heart lady in the background ...

my turn ... a little more successful in getting people to say 'yes'

tall guy taking a packet ... folded arms lady looking skeptical, I think she took one ...

hungry sushi goers all wondering what is in the packet ... is it anthrax or art?

... will do another one before the finders keepers ... maybe the day before, so if you are a BrisStyler and want me to drop one of yours no worries ...

I'm glad it went well for you - such a great idea! I wish more people could see the fun and creativity in your idea, rather than being skeptical!

What a lovely idea :) wish I had of been there to get one!

It's sad that people don't have time to slow down and be more accepting of others nowadays.

I loved this post. Interesting experiment on human nature.

Leaving a comment here is much easier way to maybe score myself one of your lovely heart brooches. See I'm not much of sushi girl myself, actually I can't even stomach the smell of it. Every time I walk by that very popular shop I have to hold my breath. By golly if I had to stand in line I think I would probably turn blue and pass out, so not good.

What a great idea Hayley - loved the post too! Lots of fun and I'm sure your little brooches would've made lots of people's days :)

funny how people react isn't it? like here in London you get students holding 'free hugs' signs, people act like they are mass murderers or something!

Wish I could have been around for one of your little packages, but it would have been abit of a hike I'm afraid!

xxx

Sounds so wonderful! I remember taking part in the Free Hug project, people were happy hugging the girls, but they steered clear of all the guys lol. Hope you're having a fantastic day :)

What a great idea. How nice to think that when all of these people (who were probably suspicious of your motives and little parcels) opened their packages up, what a lovely surprise they will all have gotten!
