time for tea and cake ...

It's day one of the ANZAC long weekend and it's dreary old weather. However it's good weather for keeping indoors and making, creating and eating home cooked pizza. The chickens have been hard at work and we have about 12 nice fresh eggs in the fridge. The kitchen aid is calling their name. It's time for tea and cake!

The winner of last weeks giveaway for the little 'bundle' fawn is Kelly Leigh. She's a big foodie fan and you can read about her grilled cheese misgivings here.

This weeks giveaway is a little heart ... Old Mother Hubbard ... Went to the Cupboard, for some tea and cake? Leave me a comment or retweet this post to be in the running to win this little brooch! x x x x x

Lastly I'd like to point you to a little blog from Brisbane that you might like ... and might see more of in weeks to come! A huge thank you to Ms L for helping me with my stall on Sunday. Without her company and quick quips about the bogan hoards that streamed past us for eight hours I might just have stuck a fork in my eye to combat the boredom.

Lifestyle ... and the Collectors Library

The winner of the 'text heart' bunny brooch is Lyptis ... the potty mouth blogger who makes the most lovely designs ... here on Etsy. This week you can win a little fawn, all you need to do is leave me a comment.

Lyptis 'in bloom' wool sweater ... bring on Autumn.

I am almost all prepared for my Lifestyle market tomorrow at South Bank, I have been making brooches, cards and my wonderful mum has been giving the sewing machine a good 'what for' and has pumped out a gaggle of matryoshka softies. If you're in town please do come and see me. If you miss this week don't forget the first ever BrisStyle indie Twilight Market is on Friday April 30 from 5pm at King George Square in the city.

I am slogging through the last Millennium novel and it's just really not a bus book. It's a tome, and weighs a tonne. I need a 'bus book', an 'lo and behold' I think I might have just found the perfect bus book. The Collectors Library gives you your bosom heaving classic fix with gilt edged pages and fabric bound spines. Ohhh la la. And they are little pocket size gems. I am off to the book store.

I heart bunnies and markets

Poor little blog has been neglected. I am busy with 'real' work and then in my off time I have been making cards like they are going out of fashion. The South Bank Young Designers Market is busting at the seams ... so they have opened up a few spots for designers at the Lifestyle Markets. I will be there with softies, cards, pendants and my brooches this Sunday 18 April.

One of my 'library cards' that you'll find at the markets

inside is a little library card with slip ... very cool

Even more exciting is the first ever BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market. It will be held Friday from 5-9pm at King Gorge Square. The weather will have cooled down to a lovely 'Autumn mild' and all the lights and lanterns are bound to entice you to buy something cute, especially if you've had a few Friday arvo beverages already! Click here to read more about the BrisStyle markets.

another library card ...
I have used a Ladybug Reader with the words from a super trashy Mills and Boon novel

a pile of half finished hearts and animal brooches ...

a story book fox pendant, you'll find this and more like it at both markets ...

The winner of the last mail pack was Meghan from Chicago, see her blog here. This post you can score a bunny. A little 'text heart' bunny. All you need to do is leave me a comment on this post and you are in the running ...

Win me xoxoxoxo

Please leave me a comment and I will pick a winner and post this little bunny off to you!
