Kids in the skate bowl

Riding the bus into the city I saw the kids at the skate bowl. Little ones with their stack hats on and all the big ones standing around with no shirts, falling down pants and tatts. Was kind of sweet seeing the big kids play nice with the little ones on scooters.

Still on the bus and listening to my mp3 player ... and I am sick of everything on it. All I feel like listening to is Beck and a bit of Bowie.

Its really lovely seeing everyone getting along in skateparks. I'm always amazed that its not the bigger kids bullying the little kids and not giving them a go. everyone there shows respect. its great!

Well you certainly can't complain about Beck or Mr Bowie. Seeing Bowie about 6 years ago was an absolute dream.

My kiddies love the skate park, It's great when they are there that the big kids are encouraging and happy to watch them.

Skate parks have had a bad rep for being more than a bit 'rough & tumble'.
A friend of mine has a 17yo who has been into skating for the last 6-7 years and like you I have been impressed by the way that the big guys always gave him a go when he was a little tacker and now that he's one of the 'legends' the culture of consideration continues.
Great post today,

Felicity

My nephews love skateboarding, and I like watching! Sometimes, skateboarders are almost balletic. It's so cool, but I couldn't do it. I need my feet on the ground.
