My favourite books to make in to cards must the old religious Ladybird Readers. Baby Jesus and The Child of the Temple are up there in the hilarity stakes. Combined with the more raunchy Mills and Boon novels these illustrations are hours of fun - and they're good sellers.
All the other Ladybird books are great too as they are so 1950s - women are cooking and cleaning and the guys are just out walking the dog, talking about cars.
